    Tell about seams after episiotomy
Those who had seams. It doesn't matter after cuts or breaks.
    Questions:
    1. Have you been sewed them "alive" (judging by the stories, they do it often), how painful was it or can it be tolerated in principle (again, according to the stories, they are “second births” if they sew without anesthesia)?
    2. If under anesthesia, how? Maybe you need to buy in advance? I know the “Novokain tale”, so I won’t even buy it.
    3. How long did the suture heal, what does the rate of its healing depend on? (I worry, because I have full thighs, heavy sweating, plus there will be summer heat, if this also has a seam - it distorts as much as it will be "pleasant")
    4. How much the seam then interfered in life, incl. in sex? In the following birth?
I believe that I will not tear or cut (the wide pelvis - the doctors say "very wide", elastic crotch, etc., if only they didn't cut it just in case), but I would like to "digest" all the options so that for me The episiotomy and its “echoes” were not an unpleasant surprise, if it is really needed. Hence the questions.
    Thank :-)

      Another question to all
What do you think, how justifiably you "cut"? Did they ask your opinion on this (or did you discuss this question with the doctor)?

I was explained the situation later
the little one went with the umbilical cord under the handle, the heart began to fail and it was necessary to quickly get it, so I had to incise. So everything is reasonable.

      my experience
1-2 “alive” was not sewn, they immediately gave general anesthesia (nobody consulted with me in this case and did not offer any anesthesia, only asked about allergies), although there were only 2 stitches.
      3. Healed for about 2-2.5 weeks all this time often had to be washed and put on a cloth with calendula tincture (it doesn’t hurt at all). The most unpleasant thing is that one cannot sit, so from the very beginning I have learned to feed a small one and still feed like this, while sitting I can’t even imagine how :)))
      3. Sex. Frankly, at first it was quite painful, I even went to the doctor to check whether they sewed something extra. I was comforted - there is a small scar there, but since in such a place it is very sensitive and one should have sex more often to smooth it out. Now (after 3.5 months) everything is in order !!

      Did
incision in the first birth (1997), because the child had a double cord entanglement around the neck. They cut without anesthesia and sewed without anesthesia (but I gave birth under observation in the 6th), it was painful, they put three stitches. On the third day they took it off, the seams went apart ... It was on Friday, the doctor persuaded me to stay until Monday, so that she would sew me up under anesthesia, I refused, went out of the line. not wired at home. Doctors scared many, I do not want to retell. At home, I processed the seam for 3 weeks with "Solcoseryl", everything healed, it took a long time to tighten up as needed. I do not feel the seam at all, I never interfered (except for the first two months).
The second birth went without breaks and cuts (although I asked to cut, it was difficult, but the midwife did a good job, did not succumb to persuasion :-)). After childbirth without episiotomy was much easier.

      Episiotomy
1.2. Sewed under local anesthesia. Lidocaine. It was painful, but tolerable, now I forget about it.
      3. A catgut suture was sutured, it itself was absorbed at home, the threads disappeared, and the wound holes remained, and if before that, when they had smeared it with green paint, there was no pain, then later on it was inflamed. Houses greased with green paint and sea buckthorn oil. This tale lasted 2 weeks, sat down after 2 weeks.
The main condition for everything to heal well is hygiene, wash often, lubricate the seams with green paint 3 times a day, you can sea buckthorn oil, and put it in the air.
      4. I don’t know yet, time must pass and a new man will appear who will want to become my Yurchiku’s father, since my father, my lawful husband, left us on the day of discharge.

      I speak
cut, sewed up with “self-absorbing” threads (nobody then removed the stitches) under local anesthesia (alas, I don’t know what it was), I didn’t feel anything.
It would seem that I didn’t sit on the suture for 10-20 days, smeared with iodine in the hospital (2 times a day), I didn’t do anything with it at home.
Now I can’t feel him at all; the husband doesn’t find any traces of him.

Of course, you can live, but:
      1) sewed under local anesthesia. The doctor asked if I ever tried to treat my teeth with anesthesia - something like the feeling should be similar :) But I have not tried this. And to be honest - it didn’t hurt, but it was VERY UNCERTAIN (more likely from edema due to anesthesia). They sewed absorbable catgut threads, but they didn’t fit me: (I don’t know what it was, but when on the 4th day the doctor, already with his friend, saw the result, he cursed for a long time and told me to shoot urgently. It was more painful than stitching, but much faster :)
I did not feel the inner seams at all — not when they were sewn up, nor later.
      3. Suture heals quickly enough. Every day after the maternity hospital, I applied several times with a solution of potassium permanganate. But she sat down only in a month. And then - on the circle sat for a long time.
      4. In sex somehow happened differently. Sometimes it is completely imperceptible, sometimes something is hurt, some nerve can be - and the pain is terrible: (I thought it would be like this all my life :) But after 6 months. everything seems to be OK :-)
I really hope that you don’t need it :) Because I have a wonderful impression about birth, there was no pain at all, but the seams ... I remember for a long time .. But the main thing is that everything was good with the baby :) And my mom in any case heals sooner or later.

        I forgot to finish
I did not make a cut. The doctor was hoping to the last to not be needed. But Dimka turned out to be quite big for me - 3850 g and 55 cm. So it turned out to be a break. Yes, and thrush during pregnancy was - maybe it affected.

      I sewed internal crackle.
Sewed on the living, but after childbirth it does not feel. Well, if all the seams do absorbable thread.
Do not be afraid, the main thing is not to set yourself up for bad in advance. Everything will be fine. And it really does not hurt.
And about the cuts "just in case," I want to say that it probably depends on the doctor. I had a difficult situation. Even after thrush tissue loose. There was every reason to cut it. But the midwife, thanks to her very much, did everything possible, and she did it.

        Thank :)
internal sutures are always sewn up alive, there are practically no nerve endings, either in the uterus or on the neck, it can only hurt if the neck is pulled or opened, because ligaments are painful. I was told thrush for 38 weeks to treat, because earlier, if it does not bother, it is useless to heal - it will still come out. Therefore, I really hope that at least the fabrics will be in order. My doctor said, feeling the situation, they say, we will put you in the hospital, we will prepare for childbirth. I was funny.
